How can I adjust the item quantity in the shopping cart?

Find the View Cart button at the top left of one of the Catalog pages (or click here). Adjust the quantity to the value that you require and then click the UPDATE button. This should fix any problems you experience when the quantity has somehow exceeded the amount you want. [return to top of page]

When will my order arrive?

(UK only) We endeavour to ship all orders to arrive with you on the next working day but we suggest you allow 3-4 working days for delivery.

If you do require an order quickly please mark it as "urgent" in the Enter Any Shipping Instructions box at the checkout, or tell us if place your order by phone, and we'll do our level best to get your order to you ASAP.

How do you send my order?

We use a variety of methods depending upon the weight/size/value of your order. Small orders are sent via Royal Mail. Spark plugs, brake pads, cables, fork seals, etc. are usually sent in the post.

Larger orders that weigh over 1kg or have value in excess of 30 (approx) will usually be sent via APC Overnight, City Link, FedEx, or Parcel Force. Generally speaking, these orders will need to be signed for upon delivery. We suggest that if you know there won't be anyone at home during the day then you should specify a different delivery address. This could be your place of work/study or a friend's/relative's address. Do I have to create an account and log-in each time I place an order?

There is no need to think of a username and password, and then have to remember your password each time you place an order. You can order from our site with total simplicity. Furthermore, we don't store your credit card details on our web server, giving you extra peace of mind. [return to top of page]

I live in the Channel Islands or outside of the EU. Do I have to pay VAT?

The answer is no. When you get to the checkout, you can check a box for orders going outside of the European Union that will exempt you from paying VAT.

Why can't I place my order online?

Because of various technical reasons it is possible that you might experience problems placing your order online. The two most common problems are as follows:

  • Javascript is not enabled in your browser (or is not installed on your computer).

  • You're behind a Firewall or other security measure that prevents your browser communicating with our server.

If Javascript is disabled then enabling it should allow you to order from us online. Click here for help on this subject. Some Windows XP users may find that their system doesn't have Javascript installed at all.

What happens if there's no-one to sign for delivery?

If we send an order to you via a dedicated parcel carrier such as City Link they will usually require a signature as proof of delivery. If there's no-one in when they call, then they'll usually leave a calling card to let you know they've tried to deliver. Either you'll have to arrange a re-delivery with them or they'll attempt to re-deliver on the next day anyway. Please email us if you haven't received your parcel within 5 working days of ordering. Do you have the item(s) in stock?

We're proud to have a very high success rate of over 97% for items being in stock. You can usually order the item you want in confidence, but if you need to know for definite then you can check by sending an email to us.

If you do order an item that we can't get hold of we'll tell you right away and offer you the option to back order or cancel. We generally DON'T charge for items until they're ready for shipping (excludes some special order items). [return to top of page]

Can you send me a catalogue?

No! We don't publish a paper catalogue. We offer our range of products through our website because of the following advantages:

  • Printing costs would be high, so the lower overheads in maintaining an online catalogue allow us to keep our prices competitive.

  • We usually update the site with new products every few days - this would be impossible with a paper catalogue!

  • We can constantly monitor prices to make sure we are offering you the best value parts and accessories on the internet.

How do you define left and right?

Sounds like an odd question but it can catch people out. We always define left and right as if you were sat on the bike. Sometimes a bike will have "handed" front brake calipers (eg. SV650/SV650S). You'll need to order a set of LH brake pads and a set of RH brake pads as shown on the web page. [return to top of page]

What can you tell me about EBC brake pads?

Organic Streetbike Pads (i.e. "standard" compound) are the number 1 selling EBC formulation. They're made in EBC's own factory in Bristol, England. They are a Non Asbestos Organic compound featuring Dupont Kevlar in conjunction with other high tech fibres that have come on the market. The NAO series are a superb all round value-for-money replacement for all levels of motorcycle and are still extremely popular with many riders who prefer the "feel" of organic pads. Most pads have an expansion groove which reduces noise and prevents cracking. The NAO series are fully TUV tested and KBA certified and conform to the new ECE R90 brake regulations.

Double-H Sintered Streetbike Pads are made in Cleveland, USA and boast the highest "HH" friction rating combined with an outstanding lifetime. They are now available in a new quieter running, faster bedding formulation. They are perfect in hot, dry or cold and wet conditions and give consistent performance throughout their service life. We recommend Double-H Sintered pads for "sportier" riding styles.

R-Sintered pads are intended for off-road machines. These offer high durability, complete resistance to mud, water, sand and grit, etc., offering reduced disc damage and long pad life.

Please make sure you order the right quantity of brake pads for your bike! Remember that one set of brake pads fits one caliper. So, if your bike has two front discs (and therefore two front calipers) you should order TWO sets of front brake pads. Our lists usually tell you "x2 Req'd" in these instances. What can you tell me about EBC brake discs?

The ONLY complete range of motorcycle discs. These are hub and rotor complete units ready to bolt directly to your wheels. The EBC Pro-lite series has become an aftermarket standard worldwide because of its very close similarity to the original disc but offering a higher friction (18% extra) braking power over stainless steel. They feature a safe, riveted, sturdy construction as opposed to the risky circlip system used by some other manufacturers. A unique "birdswing" drill pattern prevents ridges forming and tough HPSR steel prevents cracking. A silver zinc finish prevents corrosion. We sell front discs in pairs (where applicable) and highly recommend changing BOTH front discs together on twin disc models. (NB. LS and RS mean left and right respectively). [return to top of page]

What does an EBC clutch kit comprise of?

Friction (driving) plates only; clutch springs are supplied separately. These are almost identical to original equipment: the CK series are a cork based product impregnated with aluminium particles to increase wear life and heat resistance. The material is highly compressed to avoid swell and clutch drag and is an ideal general purpose replacement for all grades and sizes of motorcycle. We recommend soaking clutch friction plates in engine oil overnight prior to installation. [return to top of page]

What do EBC clutch springs comprise of?

EBC clutch spring kits are 10% stiffer than standard and are sold in engine sets. In some cases, you may end up with one or two extra springs - this is due to some bikes using the same springs but in different amounts. Please discard the surplus springs. Diaphragm springs are available for certain models only and are usually indicated by part numbers taking the form CSK9xx. [return to top of page]

How do you supply clutch metal plates (steels)?

Clutch metal plates (these are the driven plates, also know as "steels") are always supplied in complete engine sets so you need only order a quantity of 1 per engine. [return to top of page]

What do I get when I order Steering Head Bearings?

You will receive BOTH top and bottom taper roller bearings together. In the part number (eg. 4102/4105) the first 4 digits relate to the top bearing and the last 4 digits relate to the bottom bearing. Therefore, you only need order a quantity of 1 (one) per motorcycle.

What can you tell me about Wheel Bearings?

Wheel and sprocket carrier bearings are (usually) of the "DDU" type (same as "2RS") which means that they have two integral rubber seals (one either side) to give them maximum longevity.

Front Wheel Bearings and Rear Wheel Bearings are sold in pairs (where applicable) so you need only order a quantity of 1 (one) per motorcycle. In the part number (eg. 6302/6304) the first 4 (or 5) digits relate to the left hand bearing and the last 4 (or 5) digits refer to the right hand bearing (unless stated otherwise). Please note that wheel bearing oil/grease seals are not included.

Sprocket Carrier Bearings are sold as singles. (Please remember that some bikes don't have a sprocket carrier bearing).

What's the difference between a Top Gasket Set and a Complete Gasket Set?

For a four stroke engine a "Top Gasket Set" comprises of the base (or cylinder) gasket, head gasket, rocker gasket, exhaust gasket(s), valve stem oil seals, and usually any O-rings above the crankcases. The same applies for two strokes but obviously without the valve stem oil seals and rocker gasket.

Alternatively, you can opt for a "Complete Gasket Set" which contains all the gaskets, o-rings and valve stem oil seals (but excludes crankshaft seals) in the entire engine.

How many brake pads, spark plugs, etc should I order?

Please make sure you order the right quantity of items for your bike. For spark plugs, you should order as many as you need: if you have a four-cylinder bike, then order four plugs!

How come my order is sent via multiple consignments?

If your order consists of more than one type of item then sometimes you will receive your goods in more than one delivery. This might be because the items you've asked for are being dispatched from different locations. Or, it might be because it's cheaper for us to send your order via separate consignments.

How can I best dispose of my packaging?
